I’m Kristen Vibas, an ESOL teacher with 20 years experience. I know just how stressful it can be to plan for large caseloads across multiple grade levels and content areas, all while meeting the needs of students at different language levels, and keeping lessons focused and engaging.

This course is designed for K–8 teachers of English learners who plan for small groups—whether you’re an ELD specialist, classroom teacher, or small group interventionist. If you want a simple, effective structure for lesson planning that supports language development, this course is for you.
The Lesson Planning Roadmap course includes 5 learning modules with each module containing approximately 3-5 videos, including several lesson planning demonstrations. Printable and digital resources include a course workbook, multiple lesson planning templates, a 4-step lesson planning guide, a goal setting activity, a progress monitoring tool, plus organizational tools, such as a scheduling template, and student/group lists. A “Bonuses” module provides additional bonus instructional resources, a thank you for joining me inside A Lesson Planning Roadmap.
It’s a self-paced digital course with short video modules and printable tools. Everything is hosted on an online platform called Thrivecart. After enrolling, you’ll receive an email with your course log-in information.
